• Our swimming carnival this year was a great success.  All swimmers did their best and the winning house was Bradman. A number of long-standing records were broken this year too.
Meanwhile, back at school, our K-2 students had lots of fun at their 'Swimming Carnival on Land'.  They played games and did activities with a water theme.

  • Our Book Fair started today (Tuesday 7 November).  All classes have had a chance to look at the books on sale and children have written their wish lists.  Come to the hall any day this week before or after school to purchase books.  There are some great Christmas present ideas. Remember, the school receives a commission in books for our school library, so you're not only getting to buy great books, you are helping the school at the same time!

    • On the 7th of November our school had a ‘Fancy Hat Day’ for the Melbourne Cup. The children were asked to bring in a gold coin if they wanted to wear a fancy hat. The year sixes raised over $150, the money will go to the gift from the year sixes at the end of the year.

  • Last week we were talking about the letter 'W' and we had a visit from Gail and a baby wombat named 'Wangy'.  Gail found him inside his mothers pouch after his mum had been hit and killed by a car.  Gail has cared for him for the past few months.  He will soon be returning to where he came from to live in the wild with other wombats.  Kindergarten loved meeting Wangy!

  • Here is Tamsyn's recount of Gail's visit...
